GSB&L Maintains Second Highest Ranking
UKZN’s Graduate School of Business and Leadership (GSB&L) has maintained its overall ranking in the Professional Market Research Africa (PMR).africa annual national survey of Accredited Business Schools offering MBA degrees in South Africa.
Of the 20 business schools rated, the GSB&L was placed second with a mean score of 8 out of a possible 10.
The long-standing, respected rankings celebrate excellence, with PMR.africa’s goal being to acknowledge and set a benchmark for others to aspire to as well as create opportunities for teams or divisions within companies and institutions to be recognised for their hard work.
This has motivated the School’s academics and support staff to think beyond the need to simply meet enrolment targets and fill programmes and to start internalising value to satisfy students.
GSB&L Interim Executive Director and Dean, Professor Colette Muller said, ‘This is a significant accolade of which we are very proud. It underscores the School’s commitment to deliver a top-tier MBA programme and highlights our graduates’ strong performance and employability.
‘The award validates the quality of education and training we provide and reinforces the GSB&L’s position as a leading institution in business education in South Africa. This not only boosts our students and faculty’s morale, but also opens up more opportunities for partnerships and collaborations with the business community.’
The GSB&L was presented with a Golden Arrow Award at the PMR.africa Business Excellence Awards Breakfast held on 17 July in Durban.
