About 30 internationals at UKZN enjoyed a tour of Durban aboard the Ricksha bus recently visiting a variety of attractions in and around the city.
The internationals were from the United States, Botswana, Canada, Congo, Germany, Italy, Nigeria, Russia, Zimbabwe, United Kingdom and Kenya.
First stop was the Ushaka Marine World where the students strolled around for about an hour experiencing what the Centre offered.
Then the tour continued taking in the Durban beachfront, the harbour, Emmanuel Cathedral Church, Victoria Street Market, Juma Musjid Mosque, the City Hall, Francis Farewell Square, KwaMuhle Museum, the Cube on Innes Road, Mitchell Park, Florida Road, Moses Mabhida Stadium, Suncoast Casino and Blue Lagoon.
The tour guide was very informative pointing out the various sights and giving the visitors a brief history of all the attractions.
Internationals got off the bus at Moses Mabhida Stadium where a group photo was taken.
The last stop on the way back to campus was the Cube on Innes Road where the students enjoyed the view over the city.
The bus got back to campus around 18h00 with students excited about the experiences they had enjoyed during the day out.
