R32 million to support and encourage Breastfeeding in KZN

UKZN’s Centre for Rural Health (CRH) and Department of Paediatrics in partnership with the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health (DoH) have launched a three year project to support and encourage exclusive breastfeeding in KZN. The project, valued at R32 million, is generously funded by KZN’s DoH and Elma Foundation and is titled, ‘KwaZulu-Natal Initiative for Breastfeeding Support (KIBS)’. The project will end in May 2017. It was launched at UKZN’s Howard College Campus as part of International Breastfeeding Week for 2014.
