In the build up to the international Israeli Apartheid Week,
taking place later this month, the Muslim Students’ Association in
conjunction with the UKZN Action Group on Palestine (AGP) & the Coalition
for a Free Palestine
 KZN is hosting a workshop, UNPACKING
PALESTINE, on Wednesday, 6th March 2013. The workshop aims to provide the
student and staff community of UKZN with an insight into the Palestine-Israel
Conflict. The workshop will cover the background of the conflict, the current
situation, the meaning of the UN Statehood bid, the concept of the one-state vs
two-state solution and the role of the international community in the Boycott
Divestment Sanctions campaign. The workshop will consist of presentations,
discussions as well as a documentary screening.

Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW) is an
annual international series of events held in cities and campuses across the
globe. The aim of IAW is to educate people about the nature of Israel as an
apartheid system and to build Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS)
campaigns as part of a growing global BDS movement
