Come listen to Dr. Willy Mafuta, a Congolese citizen, who knows what it means to be “A FOREIGNER” for he has stayed and studied in various countries, and South Africa is no exception. In view of the recent spate of embarrassing and violent xenophobic attacks on fellow-Africans in South Africa, Dr. Mafuta comes to the School of Religion, Philosophy and Classics to speak on the theme: “RECLAMATION OF THE SOCIAL CONSTRUCTION OF BANTUNESS: The Politics of Identity and Xenophobia”. This event will be held in Room 107 in the SRPC on Tuesday 12 May 2015 at 13h00. Come and listen to this prolific scholar and speaker on a topic that has become extremely relevant for a postmodern, democratic, post-Apartheid South African society who ought to be the shining light for the rest of our continent.
