Time: 16h00 – 18h00

Diversity is a word that is tossed around in many areas of work and social life and has come to mean different things to different people. South Africa belongs to all who live in it, united in our diversity. The purpose of the dialogue is to explore perceptions around sexual diversity and create an environment of understanding one another regardless of demographical aspects which include race, gender, sexual orientation and personal choices. Speakers include: Dr Maheshvari Naidu – Senior Lecturer: Anthropology UKZN; Kim Lithgow – Founder of SAME LOVE Organisation; Siphesihle Jali – LGBTI Student
Probable questions for the dialogue:
• What does diversity mean to you?
• Is diversity important?
• What hinders diversity in our university?
• Are we really united in our diversity?
• Is sexual diversity represented in our university
