Introducing universal health coverage in Mozambique: Health care utilisation and barriers to care, among men and women – A multi-methods study

Per-Åke Andersson is a Health Economist at the Department of Economics at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. His main areas of research are development economics, health economics, economic growth, international macroeconomics, aid effectiveness and aid evaluation.

About Presentation: The project will investigate men’s and women’s health care utilisation and experienced access barriers to care in Nampula Province in Mozambique. Three different health issues are chosen, pregnancy and childbirth, malaria and mental illness, as they represent prevention, treatment of a common disease and a highly stigmatized condition, respectively.
