The Department of Family Medicine invites you to an academic meeting featuring Professor Mergan Naidoo. Professor Mergan Naidoo is an Associate Professor and Head: Clinical unit in the Discipline of Family Medicine at UKZN and Wentworth Hospital. He is also currently the Academic Leader for Teaching and Learning in the School of Nursing and Public Health and chairs the Education, Science and Technology Committee of SAMA and the MCQ Committee for the College of Family Physicians. He has a special interest in Maternal Health, Primary Emergency Care, the care of HIV positive patients and Healthcare Worker Education. His PhD focused on maternal surgical safety in KZN. He is a provincial maternal death assessor for the NCCEMD and has been involved as a master trainer in the ESMOE programme. He has published in the field of HIV in pregnancy.
