The University of KwaZulu-Natal’s free lunch hour concert on Monday 26 March features the KZN Youth Orchestra. The concert takes place at the OSCA Auditorium (Jubilee Hall), Princess Alice Avenue, and starts at 12h15.

The KwaZulu-Natal Youth Orchestra was established in 1994 as a non-profit platform to allow young people with musical ability the opportunity to perform in a professional environment and develop their group musical skills. The players, between the ages of 12 and 23, are selected by audition each year and come from all over KwaZulu-Natal. Under the baton of Lykele Temmingh, Cathy Peacock and Lindsay Johnson, the 2012 repertoire includes a variety of classical, contemporary and popular music arrangements.
