Once again the University of KwaZulu-Natal (School of Arts) proudly presents to you the African Music and Dance 3A
Lunch Hour Concerts.

Do not miss out this show titled
“IMBILA YASWELA UMSILA NGOKUYALEZELA” which means as a person you
must not rely on other people to do things that are primarily your
responsibility. The concert is free and open to the general public. It will be
Live on our Facebook page called African Music Project. On the  7th of August 2020 at 13h00.

The aim is to fuse and synthesize a
variety of African dances and music genres, namely Maskandi, Gospel,
Traditional Music in addition to African Contemporary Dances. In addition the
concert aspires to create a harmonic-melody-rhythmic mix using instruments like
Zulu drums Djembe drums from Mali and Conga drums.

This exciting performance is brought
together by AMD Group 3 Members: Thembelani Gansa, Mlungisi Magcaba, Nonkululeko
Madlopha, Sinamathemba Ngcobo, with assistance from other students from the
School of Arts (UKZN).
