Tomika Konditi is a career diplomat for the United States government. Tomika currently serves as First Secretary for Political Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Pretoria covering South African domestic politics and good governance initiatives. Tomika has served in Nairobi, Kenya as the Political-Economic Officer, Sao Paulo, Brazil as Vice Consul, Belgrade, Serbia as Economic Officer, and in Washington D.C. as Desk Officer for Bulgaria and Slovenia.

Prior to joining the U.S. Foreign Service as a diplomat, Tomika worked at General Electric in its Capital Services business as a member of General Electric’s elite Financial Management Program. She has also worked in areas of finance and consultancy.

Tomika received a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance and Bachelor’s of Arts in Japanese Language and Literature from Washington University in St. Louis. She received a Master’s of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Tomika is a former Fulbright Fellow, Pickering Fellow, and National Security Education Program Scholar.

Tomika is married to Thomas Konditi, President & CEO of General Electric Transportation – Africa and General Electric South Africa. They have four children.
