National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) – UKZN Branch cordially invites you to a colloquium on: Financial Sustainability of Higher Education Institutions: Whose Responsibility Is It?
Higher Education institutions have three sources of funding: state (blocks and earmarked) grants, tuition fees and third stream. The state grants have not kept pace with the growth of demand for higher education institutions funding amid the growth of the system. Financial sustainability seems to be one of the most persistent challenges in Higher Education now and in the decades ahead. The purpose of this colloquium is to stimulate debate and discussions on the controversial nature of financial sustainability at Higher Education institutions.
