Topic: What can be learned from graphic representations of social unrest in South Africa? For a decade, CCS has maintained a ‘Social Protest Observatory’ that tracks trends in civil society unrest. New technologies, including Geographical Information Systems, allow insights into protest mapping and the reasons and processes behind social unrest.
